  • Homemade Gravadlax
    on buckwheat blinis with wholegrain honey mustard.
  • Vichyssoise
    served with shaved Kalahari truffle
  • Goose liver and walnut terrine
    Served with crudite, a red onion marmalade and Melba toasts.
  • Cape seafood salads composeé
    Served with a charred mango, peppadew, pink peppercorn, lemongrass, crispy ginger and lime salsa.
  • Buchu and honeybush sorbet
  • Roast duck with an apricot and pecan nut stuffing
    Served with baby vegetables, potato dauphinoise and a blackberry, all spice and Riesling jus.
  • Christmas pudding
    packed with traditional candied fruits and dainties steeped in fine Cape brandy. Served with a Van der Hum crème anglaise.
  • Traditional fruit mince pies
    with a Cape muscadel

Vegan Christmas Menu 2024

  • Buckwheat blinis with brinjal pate
    topped with burnt sage leaves and pine nuts.
  • Chilled cucumber and mint soup
  • Hout bay woodland salad composeé
    of honey sweet potato, forest fungi and broccoli sprouts. Served with a raspberry and lime salsa.
  • Steamed asparagus and basil infused spinach and courgettes
    Topped with a chestnut, chickpea and truffle gratin.
  • Liquorice and beetroot icicle
  • Grilled tofu and king oyster mushrooms
    with edamame, crispy ginger, roasted pear wedges, spinach and a green pea puree.
  • Christmas pudding
    packed with traditional candied fruits steeped in fine Cape brandy. Served with a Van der Hum coconut crème.
  • Cape cherries
    dipped in dark chocolate
